Real Estate Investing Forums
Real estate investing forums can be a great place to connect with other investors and learn insider-secrets, tips, tricks, financing options, and stay current with market trends. Investors from around the globe gather in social networking forums to learn and share information and locate potential deals.
Participating in real estate investing forums can be tricky at times. Investors need to learn how to differentiate between professionals and wanna-be's. It is not uncommon for members to pose as legitimate investors when their primary goal is to sell products and programs that oftentimes aren't worth the paper they are printed on
The Internet can be a valuable resource for locating real estate investing forums. Simply type in "real estate investing forums" at your favorite search engine and you're certain to find thousands of results. While the best forums should appear in the top ten results, some internet marketers utilize blackhat strategies to boost search engine rankings and appear to be experts in the field.
If you are interested in a specific type of investment property, narrow down search results by including the type of real estate preferred. Many types of investment opportunities exist such as foreclosure homes, bank owned properties, short sales, and probate real estate. Some investing forums focus solely on purchasing mortgage notes or land contracts. Determine your real estate investment niche to locate appropriate forums.
As one who has participated in multiple investment forums, I recommend starting off by joining two or three groups and learn the ropes. Find out who the real players are and what they have to offer.
One of my favorite real estate investing forums is CREOnline.com. Creative Real Estate Online covers a wide range of topics including financing, cash flow, locating discounted properties, and real estate law.
Another popular investment forum is REIClub.com. Prepare to spend at least an hour at REIClub to review the multitude of forum threads and various categories. Discussion groups include topics such as Subject To, 1031 exchanges, wholesaling, and investing in commercial real estate.
BiggerPockets.com is the crème de la crème of real estate investing forums. Featured on CBS News, U.S. News, Newday.com and numerous print publications, Bigger Pockets offers a wealth of investment information for newbies to seasoned investors.
There is no fee to join any of the above real estate investing forums. Each has their own terms of service rules, so take time to read the policies of each forum to ensure you abide by the rules. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for disputes to arise. Whenever large groups of people are mixed together, it is inevitable at least one person will be a know-it-all jerk.
While it can be tempting to engage in flame wars and tell someone off, it is a good idea to walk away from a verbally toxic chat room. Negative talk will not put money in your pocket and can quickly ruin your reputation.
At present, SimonVolkov.com does not have real estate investing forum. However, we do offer a full-spectrum real estate investing article library which offers sound advice on a variety of topics. New articles are frequently added, so take a moment to enter your email address via the subscription box on the right sidebar.
